Summer is finally truly upon us. We had some fantastic weather over the Independence Day weekend. The kids really seemed to enjoy “Lifeguard Games” on the fourth. The summer pool parties have begun.
We will have our first Members Party this weekend on Sunday July the 10th from 1pm to 4 pm. This event is open to members and their guests. The pool will supply grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, and assorted summer beverages. The cost is $5.00 each for the first two members of the family and $2.00 for every other family member. Guests will pay $5.00 each to participate in this event.
We need all you golfers to save the date of Saturday August 20th. This will be the DSRC’s 2nd Annual Golf Outing. This year the event will take place at Village Greens of Woodridge.
As I mentioned in the previous newsletter there is a suggestion box located under the awning in our concession area. Please feel free to drop in a suggestion, complaint or comment … but please sign your name so that we can personally respond to your thoughts and ideas. Don’t be shy, let us know what we are doing right, and how we can get better.
As the summer moves forward lets make sure that everyone is familiar with the pool rules. These rules are in place so that everyone can enjoy a safe and fun pool. Copies of the rules are available on the home page of our web site – www.darienswim.com. Please remember that glass is NOT ALLOWED anywhere upon the pool grounds. It is also important to note that no shoes or sandals are allowed on the pool deck, and we do need everyone to clean up after themselves in the concession area.
